A Dolls House and Tess of the DUrbevilles During the late nineteenth century, wo workforce were beginning to barricade out from the usual molds. Two authors from that time period wrote devil separate but very similar pieces of literature. Henrik Ibsen wrote the play A Dolls House, and Thomas Hardy wrote Tess of the DUrbervilles. Ibsen and Hardy both use the humankindful characters to contrast with their female counterparts to illustrate how women are stronger by pursual their hearts instead of their minds.
