Fannie Mae and its economic issues
Fannie Mae was created decades past with the help of the Government to help stabilize the accommodate trade in the united States. This all came from the idea of Congress gage in 1938 to help boost home mortgage funding (2009). Over the years it became one of the largest accommodate lenders in the United States. This has also come with a positives and negatives. Now it has had to come patronize to it roots, the government to assist in maintaining its strength.
The growth of Fannie Mae is astonishing when e trulyone thinks to the highest degree it. It holds almost 40% of the United States economy’s housing debts that are about $5.4 trillion in outstanding obligations. Since they project gotten so large over the years it has allowed them to become very volatile during the economic downturn of this mortgage crisis that the United States is relations with. Having this large of a company and having that many people owe a large monthly payment is going to engage up to some negatives. Fannie Mae being as large as they are also had advantages.



Some of the problems that Fannie Mae is stacking with are a number of people who are defaulting on their mortgages, causing buybacks, or Mortgage Back Securities to look money on properties that they add on, this all results in a default, also known as a foreclosure.
Fannie Mae has fallen as a victim during a time when the mortgage industry became deregulated and everyone was trying to make awing profit margins while the economy was good, or when everyone thought that it was doing well. The US economy, along with the world economy has crashed recently due to the housing bubble bursting.
