Scene 1

Richards first soliloquy is whimsical and persuasive. Shakespeares villains rarely introduce themselves to us so directly with ratiocination this early on in the renovate. By opening the mold with Richard, Shakespeare gives the main characters view of his authority and enables his magnificent villain to contract the audience in. This soliloquy also functions as a physical body of introduction, with Richard acting the role of chorus (a figure who would not usually participate in the action of the play). Therefore we are now aware of the main character as an actor. This conception is a very central one in the play. We also like a shot sense that everything exit occur in this drama dep demises upon Richard; the play has a central figure as its focus, right from the start.
Richard does not reveal all his plots in this opening candidate. Richard teases the audience at lines 157-8 with hints about another secret close plot. At the end of the scene, we are eager to see how Richard manages to succeed in his aims-in particular, the idea of Richard as a wooer, especially since he has expressed supercilious expressions of women. In spite of his deformities, he seems optimistic in his chances of success plenteousy wooing Lady Anne, whose husband he has just killed.
The scene ends on a practical note as Richard summarises the obstructions he must overcome if he is to succeed. With the confidence and skill he has shown in the first 160 lines of the play, we know he testament succeed his nasty plots.
Scene 2

In this scene, Richards ability to neglect others is confirmed. The obstruction that he has to overcome in this scene is Annes evil of him. This is a slightly tough obstacle to overcome for Richard. Annes curses against Richard are full of venom; images of devils, bloody death and extreme blow dominate. We are uncomfortable when Anne curses Richards future wife, even that we know that it will be her.
