Patch Adams did many things to go outside the box, things that were all different than any other doctor would do to befool someone feel comfortable. He wanted to help pot, gibe about people and listen to people. Patch feign that he could see and kill squirrels, wore clown noses and floral shirts; project himself in pain to entertain the patients, created his own clinic to treat people with compassion and comfort and most importantly laughed and do the patients laugh.
When Patch Adams was in the mental hospital, we awoke to his roommate, Rudy, terrified because he could not turn back to the bathroom, there were squirrels blocking his flair. He then loaded up his hand gun and began to shoot at the imaginary squirrels that Rudy was seeing. He realized that he wanted to help people, not with antibiotics simply with involvement. This reminds me of when I used to be in the 8th grade, and I would have 1st grade reading buddies; instead of freehanded them the book and telling them to read it themselves with no help, I would depend on there and help them sound out the words that they could not pronounce. At some points, I would make up a song to spell out the word, or a strengthen on the sounds used to pronounce it.
I ended up gathering more reading buddies who enjoyed learning how to read this air, it do it easier for them to understand what they were doing and it made a fun and entertaining way of learning.
Patch did not wear the usual doctors coat along with the pen in the pocket or clipboard in hand. Instead he wore floral shirts and clown noses. This made the patients look at him as different, and he had his own way of expressing a doctor. Instead of being the plain old, ordinary doctor, he went outside the box and made sure he wore vivacious colours to show that he was upbeat and opposite of those sterile doctors.
