The Unusual Suspects
Verbal Kint convinces the four other ex con-men to get down together and plan a revenge job together. later committing their first successful robbery together, the men move on to their next bigger and better job. The five men stand with the boss of their second delay, Kobayashi, played by Pete Postlethwaite. Kobayashi blackmails the men into attack a station for his boss Keyser Söze. Kent tells the police detective the story of Keyser Söze, which he had heard through other people. Kent’s flashback described Keyser Söze as a respected Turkish criminal. Keyser Söze thus disappeared. Söze becomes somewhat of a myth. No one has ever seen him; they just work with him through his assistant, Kobayashi. Throughout the movie Söze is compared to the devil.
Kent tells the detectives, “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the earth he didnt exist. And like that, poof. Hes gone.” (_The Unusual Suspects_).
Kent continues to tell the detectives what happened the night of the ship attack. Kent tells the detectives that Keaton asked him to stay back, incase anything happened to Keaton, he could tell the girl Keaton loved, that Keaton was muddy he could not go straight.
