This is truly and enchanting story about a grandmother and her six year old granddaughter Sophia who comes to spend the summertime together on a tiny island in the disconnection of Finland exploring, talking about life, nature everything but their feelings about Sophias mothers death and their adore for each other. It Charts the relationship between a young girl and her grandmother.
The story is about a comminuted girl who loses her mother and comes to live with her elderly grandmother on a tiny island in the Gulf of Finland. Her father seems to evermore be lurking around but only refers to him as workings or going fishing. The main story is centered, around Sophia a six year old young girl and her grandmother.
Sophia has gobs of questions about life and is afraid to love because when you love someone they die. Her grandmother over time teaches her its okay to love that life is about living. Together they set out on this tiny island and explore, they go swimming and they build imaginary forests and animals out of twigs and bark.
